Probably the best place for a light lunch in Montrose. Charming location (an old bowling pavilion), it has been refurbished in a tasteful way and is bright and airy inside. A simple menu with daily specials, the food was delicious, expertly cooked by chef/patron Rosie. Very nice staff. Great coffee and a good selection of drinks.

Nice and clean. And welcomed with a smile, Tea for two and a bacon roll. Service was good and the bacon roll was lovely, will definitely be back, thank you.

had an exceptional experience! The pancakes, eggs, and hash browns were absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere of the cafe is warm and inviting, making it a wonderful spot for a relaxing meal.The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Given how popular this place is, I highly recommend booking in advance to ensure you get a table. The Pavilion Cafe is a must-visit for anyone in the Montrose area!

Œufs pochés sur toast, fêta et chili jelly ( fait maison ) sont les meilleurs que j ai mangé de la vie . Les pancakes sont à tomber .. le banana bread un délice ! La chef est une cuisinière hors paire et d’une gentillesse incroyable.
L endroit est cosy..

Best breakfast I have had in the longest time. The food was quality, perfectly cooked and tasty. I chose the Vegan Breakfast and the server asked if I wanted to make it veggie and add an egg - I was really pleased she did. The customer service was excellent and the setting was clean and well thought out. My son wants to go back again tomorrow! Cafe Pavillion truly deserves all the great reviews it gets.

Beautiful cafe inside & out, very friendly staff, amazing food!
We went to the Pavilion for breakfast, between us we had full breakfasts and pancakes, generous portion sizes and delicious, we had our dog with us so we sat outside it was a lovely morning so an added bonus, our server was quick to offer a bowl of water for our dog. Wish we had taken photos to add to review, but do highly recommend a visit.

I've been coming to the Pavilion for a number of years, in fact I was a regular at Rosie's previous café for years before that as well.
I was in this morning for breakfast and like always it was excellent! Hands down it's my favourite place to go out to eat, I recommend it to anyone & everyone!
If you're looking for a creative & fresh menu with amazing food, brilliant portion sizes, excellent friendly service at an affordable price all in a lovely setting, you will not find a better place than the Pavilion!
The number one spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee & cake!

Really lucky to get a table having not booked, on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Spoilt for choice on the menu, but our lunch was delicious and arrived really quickly. Cant recommend enough, will be back

Favourite place to eat! Local, fresh food at affordable prices! 😄 and delicious! staff are so so lovely and always very friendly. Made very welcome with my baby when I have the pram/need high chair 🙂 best to book in advance 🙂 we love the pavilion! Sat outside today in the lovely sunshine for lunch 🌞 but breakfast/brunch is always superb! So lucky to have this wee place in our town but in a quiet location that is nice and relaxed!

Just had the best garlic mushrooms on toast ever! Had my dog with me, so I sat out on the little verandah, which was perfect. A lovely young man served me, the food arrived quickly, loads of juicy mushrooms and spinach, creamy sauce, very garlicky (yum yum), sourdough toast and nice coffee. Maisie got a bowl of water too 🙂 Thanks too, for keeping an eye on her whilst I popped in to use the lovely clean toilet. I will definitely be back every time I visit Montrose. Thanks.

This is one of my favourite places to eat out, and i don't manage to visit here nearly enough. The food is always fantastic (my photos don't do it justice) generous plates filled with the best ingredients that have been cooked with passion. Rosie knows how to combine flavours to make you enjoy eating so much that you forget to speak to the person you're with!
It's a lovely place to sit, there's a nice relaxed atmosphere here, and plenty of space so you don't feel you're lugging into other people's conversations.
What's really enjoyable is hearing how the younger staff are encouraged and praised. In between cooking her fantastic food Rosie pops in and out of the kitchen keeping an eye on things and chatting to everyone, I think she must know everyone in Montrose.
Make sure you book as there's only a few tables and a tiny kitchen.

Very friendly staff who let us in without a reservation in a busy period. Lovely chips and coffee in a very nice ambience. Definitely recommend reserving a table!

The Pavilion is a beautiful cafe situated in the nicest part of Montrose. Friendly staff, great food (and portion sizes), good prices and an overall lovely place to grab a coffee or some of the amazing lunch specials.
